with Samsung Health Step Tracker
You don't need a gym or any special equipment to be physically active.
Simply walking each day can boost your health and happiness.
So, hop to it and we'll show you how Samsung Health keeps tabs on your daily step count.
Inside your mobile device, there's an acceleration sensor that generates data to calculate steps.
Your steps and stride length determine your traveled distance. During workouts, GPS data is also used to calculate distance.
*Stride length is an estimation calculated based on your profile settings and cadence (steps per minute).
Some steps might not register when carrying your device in a pocket or bag.
Multiple steps must be detected for the activity to be recorded.
Movements made while riding in a car or on a bike may register as steps.
When connected, the two devices sync health data and combine step counts.
If the step counts don't match, check to see whether: “All steps” is chosen in Step Tracker options; your mobile device and watch are connected; and that your app is up-to-date.
